Global Communication Services, Inc. was incorporated in 1995 primarily to provide high quality habilitative services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Although sixteen years old, the three senior staff of the company have had a combined total of 86 years of services for persons having developmental disabilities. The principle reason for creating the company was to take the high standards and knowledge (administrative, regulatory and clinical) we possess and expand the number of consumers whose lives we can improve through increased independence. Although we can no longer work directly with the consumers, our clinicians are mentored and supervised by us in order to maintain our high standards.

Global Communication Services is currently providing habilitative services to a large number of individuals with developmental disabilities in New York State. These services are normally provided in community residences or in day program settings. We provide these services using the Article 16 model under the jurisdiction of the New York State OPWDD. A portion of our services are contracted with agencies on a fee for service basis. We also provide clinicians for early intervention programs, pre-school programs, skilled nursing facilities, and have set up and run hospital based habilitation clinics in New Jersey. Schools in Connecticut have called upon Global clinicians to fill gaps in clinical services and we provide clinicians to several school districts in California.

In addition to our staff of clinicians, Global has a dedicated quality assurance staff. Their core responsibility is to review all documentation produced by our clinicians. One full time staff person is assigned to personnel matters and functions as the conduit through which you receive all required updates from our personnel records. To assist with clinical situations directly or through peer training, Global has access to and retains, on a case-by-case basis, clinicians who specialize in particular areas of their fields.
